The following maintenance is recommended to ensure optimal performance. 

Yearly 

 

Check all parameters and test points 

 

Record data 

 

Make adjustments as needed 

 

Make sure all cables are mated properly 

 

Inspect cables for stress and chafing 

 

Make sure all retaining screws are tight 

 

Replace chassis air filter (Depending on office 

environment cleanliness/filtration, the chassis air 

filter may require more frequent servicing.) 

When needed 

Carefully clean the module with a soft cloth that is 

dampened with mild detergent. 

 

It may be helpful to establish a maintenance record or log for this module. You may 

want to record optical input level, optical output level, or current laser levels, as well 

as the filter change dates. 
Large variations in any of the parameters above should be investigated prior to 

failure.
