Restore Factory Settings
Use the Restore Factory Settings option to return the set-top to its original status. This 
option replaces your customized settings with settings that were applied to the set-top 
when it left the factory.
Important: Restoring factory settings erases all recordings and scheduled recordings 
from PVR set-tops.
1. Press Menu.
2. Press 
 to navigate to Settings.
3. Press 
 to navigate to Troubleshooting and press Select.
4. If Diagnostics is not selected, press 
 or 
 to navigate to Diagnostics.
5. If Restore Factory Settings is not selected, press 
 or 
 to navigate to Restore 
Factory Settings and press Select
6. Press 
 or 
 to select Yes and press Select. The set-top erases all customized 
settings, reapplies the factory settings, and reboots the set-top.
 Note: If you select Yes and parental controls are enabled, a screen appears and prompts 
you to enter your parental control PIN to proceed. After entering your PIN, the set-top 
erases all customized settings, recordings, and scheduled recordings. It also reapplies 
the factory settings, and reboots the set-top.
Reboot the Set-Top
Use the reboot option to automatically turn the set-top off  and then on again.
1. Press Menu.
2. Press 
 to navigate to Settings.
3. Press 
 to navigate to Troubleshooting and press Select.
4. If Diagnostics is not selected, press 
 or 
 to navigate to Diagnostics.
5. Press 
 to navigate to Reboot the Set-Top and press Select. A confi rmation 
screen appears.
6. Press 
 or 
 to select Yes and press Select. The set-top reboots.
Display System Information
Use the System Information option to view information about the set-top.
1. Press Menu.
2. Press 
 to navigate to Settings.
3. Press 
 to navigate to Troubleshooting and press Select.
4. Press 
 to navigate to System Information. The following options appear:
  Note: These options vary according to the Vantage software version installed on the 
set-top box.
  •  Software Version (the software version number) 
  •  Hardware Version (the hardware version number)
  •  UI Version (User Interface version number)
  •  Serial Number (set-top serial number)
  •  Audio Language (the default audio language currently selected)
 • 
Board 
Version
  •  IP Address (the primary IP address of the set-top)
  •  MAC Address (the primary MAC address of the set-top)
 • 
Vendor 
Version
  •  Box Name (the unique name that you created for the set-top)
  Note: To close the System Information screen, press Select
