Overview
The Cisco MDE 50IVB software allows a Cisco ECDS 2.5.3 service engine to run on a Cisco ISR SRE
module. The Cisco ECDS service engine can be managed by a Cisco Enterprise Content Delivery System
Manager (Cisco CDSM) running on a Cisco MDE appliance.
The MDE 50IVB is available in two different disk configurations: RAID 0 or RAID1. In a RAID 0
configuration, all of the available physical disk space is available for the application and content storage.
In a RAID 1 configuration, only half of the physical disk space is available because of the disk
redundancy.
You must choose which configuration you want to use when installing the Cisco SRE-V software on the
Cisco SRE service module. You can later change this setting if needed using the Cisco ISR command
line.
