Chapter 3 Pre-Installation Tasks
Java EE 5 Installation
Java EE 5 Installation
RSM requires Java EE 5, which can be installed as follows:
Step 1
Download and run the Java EE 5 SDK Update 4 installer for the Java EE + JDK

Select C:\java\SDK for the installation path, when prompted on the Admin

Select Add bin directory to PATH on the Installation Option screen. All other
options must not be selected.

Do not click Start Server on the final installation screen.

Once installation is complete, navigate to Start > Settings > Control Panel >
System > Advanced > Environment Variables.

Create a new system environment variable named JAVA_HOME with a value of

JTAPI Client Libraries Installation
To install the JTAPI client libraries required to run RSM:
Step 1
Navigate to the Unified CM Administration web page.

Log in using the admin ID and password

Navigate to Application > Plug-Ins.

Click Find.
Step 5
Click on the Cisco JTAPI for Windows Download link. The
CiscoJTAPIClient.exe file is downloaded.

Run this file, installing the libraries to their default locations.
