How to Design the Layout for a Tabular Template
How to Align Columns and Headings
InfoMaker offers considerable functionality for controlling the size, space, and alignment of controls, 
such as report headings and the columns that display beneath them.
This section introduces you to these features. Refer to the Sybase documentation for details. 
To Select all Headings or all Columns:
Step 1
Click on the first heading or column (the one to the far left).
Step 2
From the InfoMaker menu, select Edit > Select > Select Right.
To Align Controls
Step 1
Select the control whose position you want to align with respect to the others.
Step 2
Click (select) the control(s) you want to align with the first one.
Step 3
Select Format > Align from the menu, or click the Format button.
Step 4
Select the dimension you want to align.
Examples:
To align a Heading with the Column beneath it:
  •
Select the Heading.
  •
Select the Column.
  •
Click Align, then select Align L.
To align the bottom edges of all headings:
  •
Click the first heading at the far left.
  •
Select Edit > Select > Select Right.
  •
Click Align, then select Align B.
To Display Boundaries for Controls
Step 1
Select Design > Options from the InfoMaker menu.
Step 2
Check Show Edges.
The boundaries display in Design view but do not display when you run the report.
To Work with a Grid and Ruler in the Report Painter
Step 1
Select Design > Options from the InfoMaker menu.
Step 2
Check Show Grid and Show Ruler.
