Using OpenStack with the GBP Plug-in
Creating the APIC- and GBP-Enabled VDC
(Policy) Target Groups
Registering the Policy Objects
You must be logged in as the Cloud Provider Technical Administrator to perform this task. Complete the following steps
to define the connection information for the OpenStack Cloud Manager that will be used in Cisco Intelligent Automation
for Cloud 4.3.2.

1.
Choose Setup > System Settings > Connections tab.
2.
Click Connect Cloud Infrastructure.
3.
On the Connect Cloud Infrastructure form, choose the APIC/GBP-enabled OpenStack platform element.
4.
Select one of the following:

Policy Actions
—
Policy Classifiers
—
(Policy) Target Groups
5.
On the Register Policy, add or modify the Familiar Name and Description, as needed.
6.
Click Submit Order.
Creating the APIC- and GBP-Enabled VDC
To create a GBP-enabled VDC:
1.
Choose My Cloud > My VDCs.
2.
Click Create Virtual Data Center.
3.
On the Create Virtual Data Center form, enter and/or select all required information, including a Network POD and a
Compute POD.
Compute POD.
4.
Associate the VDC with the Compute POD created on the APIC- and GBP-enabled OpenStack platform element.

When you set up your APIC platform element, you set up a range of vLANs. The same range (or subset of that
range) must be configured in this network POD. See

and managing PODs.
Note:
For the purposes of creating this APIC- and GBP-enabled VDC, you do not have to create Service Resource
Container.
5.
Click Submit Order.
