Managing Servers, Virtual Machines, and Virtual Data Centers
Taking a Snapshot of a Virtual Machine
Viewing Snapshots
View the history of snapshots taken of virtual machines within an organization. From the list, you can view history and 
related services of a snapshot.
1.
Choose My Cloud > My Servers.
2.
On the My Servers portal page, click the gear icon 
 next to a VM to display the popup panel.
3.
From the panel, select the View Snapshots icon to open the View Snapshot form
Deleting a Snapshot
1.
Choose My Cloud > My Servers.
2.
On the My Servers portal page, click the gear icon 
 next to a VM to display the popup panel.
3.
From the panel, choose the Delete Snapshot icon to open the Delete Snapshot form.
4.
From the Snapshot name drop-down list, choose the snapshot to which you want to revert the chosen virtual 
machine.
5.
Click Submit Order.
You will receive an email on the snapshot of the virtual machine that is deleted now.
Modifying Ownership
1.
Choose My Cloud > My Servers.
2.
On the My Servers portal page, click the gear icon 
 next to a VM to display the popup panel.
3.
From the panel, choose the Modify Server Ownership icon to open the Modify Server Ownership form.
4.
In the New Owner section, click Select to search for the new owner.
5.
From the Select Person popup, find the new owner and then click OK.
Note: 
The new server owner can only be from the same organization. That is, you cannot select the server owner 
from any organization other than your own.
6.
The Home Organizational Unit field populates.
7.
Click Submit Order.
Decommisioning a Virtual Machine
Use the Decommission Virtual Machine form to terminate a virtual machine and return its resources to the cloud pool. 
Once you take this action, the VM will no longer be accessible and its dedicated data no longer available.
1.
Choose My Cloud > My Servers.
2.
On the My Servers portal page, click the gear icon 
 next to a VM to display the popup panel.
3.
From the panel, choose the Decommission Virtual Machine icon to open the Decommission Virtual Machine form.
4.
You will see the following information about the VM:
Friendly Name
Computer Name
