Managing ASAP Stacks and Blueprints
Using Stack Designer

Under Target environment, select the environment from the Select Environment drop down list.
Note:
 This is a list of Target Blueprint environment configurations -- representing combinations of Compute 
platforms and Configuration Management platforms -- that are available.
7.
Select the VDC from the Select VDC drop down list.
Note: 
Please note that VDC should have network zone that matches network zones selected for servers in Blueprint. 
You can select (or change) network zone for a VDC in Blueprints > Setup > Modify Network Zones in VDC services.
Note: 
The Config Target and Compute Target fields will automatically populate.
8.
Select Chef Environment from the Select Chef|Puppet Environment drop down list.
9.
In the area labeled, “Servers in Stack Blueprint. Confirm the server quantities,” enter the quantity in the How many? 
box in the table.
Note:
 Note that additional tables show additional information under the following table headings:
- Details of plans/scripts applied to servers in the stack
- Stack blueprint relationships
- Stack blueprint requirements

Click Confirm Quantities.
11.
Click Submit Order.
Taking Snapshot of a Stack
This service takes a snapshot of all of the VMs that were instantiated as part of the stack. You can create a single snapshot 
of all the servers in an existing stack. To do so, follow the steps below.
Note: 
This service takes a snapshot of all of the VMs that were instantiated as part of the stack.
1.
Login to Cisco IAC as one of the following roles:
Stack Blueprint Designer
Organization Technical Administrator
Cloud Provider Technical Administrator
2.
Choose Stacks > Stack Management.
3.
On the Stack Management menu, choose Take Snapshot of Stack.
4.
On the Take Snapshot of an Entire Stack form, complete the following:
a.
Select your stack. Status and VM areas will update.
Review the Status (such as “Active”).
Review VMs in this stack.
b.
Under the Please Confirm area, confirm that you want to continue by clicking the “Yes, continue” radio button.
