Purpose

This notice is intended to allow customers to identify which of the legacy Cisco

and Scientific-Atlanta 1 GHz taps

and passives are compatible with the new Cisco 1.25 GHz Flexible Solutions Taps (FSTs). This notice also directs

the customer about what must be done to taps after they have been identified using the information in Tables 1 and

2 to modify them to be 1.25 GHz taps that are suitable for a fiber deep network.
