  What’s New
Cisco AsyncOS 8.0.1 for Email
Feature
Description
Enhancements
Option to choose whether
to save the current
configuration for
rollback on CLI
While performing a commit action on CLI, you can now choose whether to
save the current configuration for rollback. If you choose not to save the
current configuration for rollback, the commit actions will be faster.
Support for new
hardware
This release supports the new C380 and C680 appliances.
Remote power
management
You can now remotely reset the power to the appliance chassis. You must
configure this feature in advance if you want it to be available when you
need it. For more information, see Cisco AsyncOS for Email User Guide.
Note
This feature is available only on C380 and C680 hardware.
Reusable DLP Custom
Classifiers
Prior to AsyncOS 8.0.1 for Email (except version 7.6.3), a DLP custom
classifier can only be created as part of a custom DLP policy and cannot be
reused in other custom DLP policies.
After upgrading to AsyncOS 8.0.1, you can:
Create reusable DLP custom classifiers that can be used across multiple
DLP policies.
Reuse the previously configured DLP custom classifiers in other DLP
policies.
After the upgrade, previously configured custom classifiers will be listed on
the DLP Policy Customizations page. You can use this page to view, edit,
or delete previously configured custom classifiers or add new custom
classifiers. To access this page, go to Mail Policies > DLP Policy
Customizations
.
Note
This feature already exists in AsyncOS 7.6.3 for Email. If you are
upgrading from AsyncOS for Email version 7.6.3 to 8.0.1, this
feature will continue to work the same way as in AsyncOS 7.6.3 for
Email.
Changed Behavior
Ability to optimize the
appliance for outbound
mail delivery is now
referred to as D-Mode
The ability to optimize the appliance for outbound mail delivery, formerly
documented as a product series that included the C350D, C360D, and C70D
appliances, is now referred to as a feature called D-Mode.
DLP message actions are
now available on DLP
Policy Customizations
page
The DLP message actions are moved from DLP Message Actions page to
DLP Policy Customizations page. To manage DLP message actions, go to
Mail Policies > DLP Policy Customizations.
