4 Preparation at the touch of a button

In this chapter you will find out how to prepare coffee and milk

specialities and hot water without making further settings.

Chapter 3, ‘Familiarising yourself with the control options’, will teach

you how to adjust the settings to your personal preferences. Alter-

natively, you can use Chapter 5, ‘Permanent settings in program-

ming mode’.

You can interrupt the machine at any time while a speciality

coffee, hot water or steam is being prepared. To do this, press

the Rotary Switch k or the maintenance button c or touch

the Start symbol ..

You can select the coffee strength of individual products

before preparation: mild ;, normal : or strong _.

During preparation, you can change the pre-set amount of

water by turning the Rotary Switch.

You can also try out the preparation of speciality coffees

online. Visit the Knowledge Builder at www.jura.com.

All speciality coffees (ristretto u, espresso i and coffee o) are pre-

pared in the same way.

Example: Proceed as follows to prepare one coffee.

Place a cup under the coffee spout.

o T Touch the Coffee symbol.

1 COFFEE

is displayed for about two seconds. The Coffee

symbol is active.

READY

. T Touch the Start symbol.

Preparation will now begin.

appears on the dis-

play. The pre-set amount of water flows into the cup. You

can follow the current status of preparation on the progress

bar.

Preparation stops automatically and
