PG Fault Tolerance 
Test Purpose: 
Verify that PG’s communicate with Central Controller in Simplex Mode and that PIM’s 
remain active. 
Test Setup: 
All PG Services start in Duplex Mode 
Procedure: 
1. 
Ensure that PGA is Active. 
2. 
Ensure that PGB is Idle. 
3. 
Stop Service on PGA. 
4. 
Observe PGB change of state from Idle to Active. 
5. 
Start Service on PGA. 
6. 
Observe PGA state as Idle. 
Expected Results: 
1. 
B Side PG maintains connectivity to the Central Contoller and the PIM is Active.

Upon restart of A side PG, A side MDS/OPC processes notes the state change 
into idle state while the B Side PG remains Active.
