Computer beeps once 
at startup
1 One beep means that no RAM is installed or detected.
2 Reseat the SDRAM and try again.
3 If no SDRAM is present, install a known-good PC-100 
SDRAM DIMM in the top slot and try again. 
4 If DRAM is present, replace it (one DIMM at a time, starting 
with the top DIMM slot) with a known-good PC-100 SDRAM 
DIMMs.
5 Reseat processor module and try again.
6 Replace processor module and try again.
7 Replace logic board.
Computer beeps twice 
at startup
1 Two beeps means that incompatible RAM types may be 
installed. Verify that only PC-100 SDRAM DIMMs are 
installed and not EDO memory. 
2 Replace the existing SDRAM one DIMM at a time with known-
good PC-100 SDRAM DIMMs.
