All hard drives generate some heat during normal operation. 

However, your AcomData Drive was engineered to: a) generate 

less heat, and; b) dissipate what heat it does generate so effi-

ciently that it doesn’t need a fan. The results are: a sleeker, more 

compact design, and; near-silent operation.

It's a very simple thing, but it's powerful too. The on-off switch 

allows you to save electricity by turning the Drive on only when 

you actually need to use it. Furthermore, you can reduce the risk 

of others accessing your files when you leave your computer 

unattended.
