                              Upgrade from Version 7.x to 8.x

The procedure of the upgrade is structured into the uninstallation of Avira AntiVir 
Exchange 7, the installation of Avira AntiVir Exchange Version 8 and the possible 
import of the existing configuration. 

For the uninstallation of Avira AntiVir Exchange Version 7 you open “Programs and 
Features” in the “Control Panel”. Select “AntiVir Exchange Server 2007” and 
proceed the reinstallation by clicking on “Change”.

On an MS Exchange Server 2003 the package is called „AntiVir Exchange 

Server 2000/2003“
