NSR-ORA and NetApp
Prerequisites
The administrator may perform an offline backup within a few minutes. This 
is done by making NSR-ORA shut down the database automatically and 
restarting it after the backup process is completed (i. e. after the snapshot is 
created).
Depending on the backup cycle you may reduce the number of tape media 
units required may be reduced (having additional snapshot backups means 
that less backups on tape media are required).
6.2
Prerequisites
To run NSR-ORA with NDMP support you have to meet the following system 
requirements:
Solaris 7 or higher
NetWorker 6.x 
NetApp: 
Operating System OnTap 6.x 
Snap-Restore license 
Oracle 8.x or 9i 
NetWorker is licensed for usage with NDMP
The NetApp Filer is equipped with a local volume, or Three Party Copy (with 
NetWorker V6.1 or higher) is installed (NDMP volume). 
The database computer must support NDMP backups and satisfy the following 
requirements:
One NDMP-Client
   To perform a test backup, the volume /vol/vol0 of the NetAppFilers is 
recommended (see 
One NetApp volume
When the test backup has successfully completed you can start configuring 
NSR-ORA using the command scripts configure_nsrora and configure_networker.
