8. Update Settings
Since version 8 the update settings can be configured within the AntiVir Exchange
Management Console.
Navigate to “Basic Configuration”

“Utility Settings”. Open the properties of
AntiVir Engine (virus signatures) and accordingly AntiSpam Engine (AntiSpam
signatures). In the Tab "Update" the option "Update program data using
predefined settings" is preselected. These are the standard Avira update servers in
the Internet.

It is also possible to choose your own update server or to disable the update
completely (which is not recommended).
All relevant logfiles can be found in the following directories:
