After completing the installation and after starting the services of Avira AntiVir Exchange, it can happen 
that you obtain an error message in the event log that there is no valid license available.  Please check the 
event log for this!
Please proceed as follows to solve this problem.

Please check in your event viewer if there is an entry called “error” under “application” in the source “avexs” 
and the category “License Manager”. This message is correct for the time being as you haven’t copied any 
license file into the license directory.
Reloading the license file
Do you remember that the license file (HBEDV.KEY) and the AntiVir Exchange configuration file (Config-
Data.xml) were stored? You should now copy them back to the corresponding directories.  
Start with the license file, which is copied from your storage place into the directory listed below. The li-
cense directory is now called:
Installation drive:\Programs\Avira\AntiVir Exchange\License\
