Functions list

You can set up or operate various functions with these buttons/switch.
For the location of the buttons/switch, see “Identifying parts” (page 14).

 button (42, 124)

Pops the flash up.

Compensates the exposure.

Adjusts the ISO sensitivity.

Switches the display between the LCD monitor and the 
viewfinder.

Displays the menu screen for setting up the menu item.

MOVIE button (33, 103)

Records movies.

AEL button (121)/AV 
button (99)/

Fixes the exposure of the entire screen./Sets up the 
aperture value./Displays multiple images on the screen 
simultaneously./Scales down an image that has been 
scaled up when viewing images.

 button (138)/Focus 

Zooms in to the center of an image./Allows you to check 
the focus by enlarging the image before shooting./Scales 
an image up when viewing images.

Displays the setup screen of the function that is set using 
the Fn button./Rotates images.

Sets up the following functions: Display (47, 81, 144), 
White Balance (134), Drive mode (46, 139), Picture 
Effect (131), and Autofocus (108).

Plays back images.

Displays a shooting tip or In-Camera Guide./Deletes 
images.

Focus mode switch (108, 
114)

Switches the autofocus and manual focus.

Checks blurring of the background.
