This monitor uses thin damper wires located approxi-
mately 2.5 inches down from the upper bezel edge and
2.5 inches up from the lower bezel edge to stabilize the
internal aperture grille. These wires are most obvious
when the monitor displays a white background. The
aperture grille allows more light to pass through to the
screen for brighter colors and greater luminescence.
The damper wires are a critical part of the overall
monitor design and do not negatively affect the
monitor’s function.
