Adjusting background blur, and shooting 
(Aperture Priority Shooting)
You can manually adjust the amount of light that passes through the lens.
The flash is set to [Flash On], [Slow Synchro (Flash On)] or [Flash Off].

Set the mode dial to   (Aperture 
Priority Shooting).

Press the jog dial.

Turn the jog dial to select the aperture (F value).
You can select an aperture (F value) from F2.8 to F8.0.
The shutter speed is automatically adjusted from 1/2000 to 8 seconds.
You can set the EV or ISO setting with the jog dial.

Press the shutter button.

About the aperture
The lower the aperture (F value), the wider the hole that 
lets light pass through. The depth of focus decrease, and 
everything except objects within a narrow range of 
distance will be out of focus. This is good for portraits, 
etc.
The higher the aperture (F value), the smaller the hole 
that lets light pass through. Both objects relatively close 
and far away from the lens will appear sharp. This is 
good for landscapes, etc.
