Connecting the audio cords
The quality of the audio increases from A to B, C. 
A
 To connect the AUDIO OUT jacks of other component to the SAT/
CABLE IN jacks of this unit
Connect a VCR or other component to the SAT/CABLE IN jacks using an video/audio cord (not 
supplied). When connecting the cords, be sure to match the color-coded sleeves to the appropriate 
component jacks.
B
 To connect the COAXIAL DIGITAL OUT jack of a component to the 
DIGITAL IN COAXIAL jack of this unit
Connect the component to the DIGITAL IN COAXIAL jack using a coaxial digital cord (not supplied).
C
 To connect the OPTICAL DIGITAL OUT jack of a component to the 
DIGITAL IN OPTICAL jack of this unit
Connect the component to the DIGITAL IN OPTICAL jack using a optical digital cord (not supplied).
Note
• When you connect to the SAT/CABLE DIGITAL IN OPTICAL or COAXIAL jack, set the switch on the rear panel 
accordingly.
If you connect a digital satellite receiver with a DIGITAL OUT (COAXIAL 
or OPTICAL) jack
The digital satellite receiver can be connected to the SAT/CABLE DIGITAL IN OPTICAL or 
COAXIAL jack instead of the SAT/CABLE IN (AUDIO) jack of the unit.
The system can accept both the digital and analog signals. Digital signals have priority over analog 
signals. If the digital signal ceases, the analog signal will be processed after 2 seconds.
If you connect a digital satellite receiver without a DIGITAL OUT jack
Connect the digital satellite receiver to the SAT/CABLE IN (AUDIO) jack of the unit.
Note
• Be sure to make connections securely to avoid hum and noise.
