 Should any solid object or liquid fall into the 

unit, unplug the unit and have it checked by 

qualified personnel before operating it any 

further.

 During a thunderstorm, do not touch the 

antenna (aerial) and plug.

 Do not touch the unit with wet hands.

 Do not place the unit anywhere near water.

 Wipe the battery with a dry cloth to assure a 

good contact.

 Be sure to observe the correct polarity when 

installing the battery.

 Do not hold the battery with metallic tweezers, 

otherwise a short-circuit may occur.

 In the Operating Instructions, “iPod” is used as 

a general reference to functions on an iPod, 

iPhone or iPad, unless otherwise specified by

After playback of the iPod (or component 

connected to AUDIO IN jack) has finished, if no 

operation is performed for about 20 minutes, the 

unit will automatically turn off.

This unit contains a rechargeable battery pack.

Charge the battery before using this unit for the 

first time, or when it is depleted. You can operate 

the unit while charging.

  Connect the supplied AC adaptor to the 

DC IN 6.5V jack on the back of this unit 

firmly, and plug it into a wall outlet to 

charge the battery.

 Use the supplied Sony AC adaptor only. The 

polarity of the plugs of other manufacturers 

may be different. Failure to use the supplied AC 

adaptor may cause the unit to malfunction.

  Confirm that charging has started. 

The BATTERY/CHARGE indicator (red) lights 
up while charging, and turns off when 
charging is complete.

Note
 It will take maximum 7 hours to charge the 

battery.

You can operate the unit with the rechargeable 

battery instead of the AC adaptor.

 The maximum output will be lower when the 

AC adaptor is disconnected.

 The BATTERY/CHARGE indicator (green) 

becomes dim when the battery is weak, and 

turns off when remaining battery power is 

depleted.

or pinched particularly at plugs, convenience 

receptacles, and the point where they exit 

from the apparatus.

11) Only use attachments/accessories specified by 

the manufacturer.

12) Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, 

or table specified by the manufacturer, or sold 

with the apparatus. When a cart is used, use 

caution when moving the cart/apparatus 

combination to avoid injury from tip-over.

13) Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms 

or when unused for long periods of time.

14) Refer all servicing to qualified service 

personnel. Servicing is required when the 

apparatus has been damaged in any way, such 

as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, 

liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen 

into the apparatus, the apparatus has been 

exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate

Repeated recharging causes the capacity of the

usual time, even after charging it fully.
Note
 The rechargeable battery pack is not a 

commercially available product. To purchase 

rechargeable battery pack (NH-RDPT50), 

consult with your nearest Sony dealer.

  Remove the screw of the battery 

compartment at the bottom of the unit, 

and open the lid.

  Disconnect the connector of the battery 

pack and pull the old one out.

  Insert a new battery pack and connect its 

connector to the jack.

  Replace the battery compartment lid and 

tighten the screw.

Notes
 Charge a new battery pack before use. See “To 

prepare a power source” for details.

 Turn off the unit and disconnect the AC 

adaptor before replacing the battery pack.

 When replacing the battery pack, place a soft 

cloth etc., under the unit.

Press the RESET button on the bottom of the unit  

with a pointed object if the buttons on the unit do 

not function.

There is a storage stand on the back of the

unit. To open the stand, see “Startup Guide.”

Close the stand while holding the RELEASE

button.

Put the remote into the stand.

Before using the supplied remote for the first 

time, remove the insulation film.

Aim the remote at the   (Remote sensor) of the 

unit.

The  button indicator flashes when the 

remote’s command is received.

With normal use, the battery (CR2025) should 

last for about 6 months. When the remote can no 

longer operate the unit, replace the battery with a 

new one.

 If you are not going to use the remote for a long 

time, remove the battery to avoid any damage 

that may be caused by leakage or corrosion.

 La carga de la batería tomará un máximo de  

7 horas.

Puede operar la unidad con la batería recargable 

en lugar del adaptador de ca.

 La salida máxima será más baja cuando el 

adaptador de ca esté desconectado.

 El indicador BATTERY/CHARGE (verde) se 

tornará tenue cuando la batería esté baja, y se 

apagará cuando el resto de la batería se agote.

La carga repetida hace que la capacidad de la 

batería disminuya con el tiempo. Reemplace la 

batería cuando su capacidad sea la mitad de la 

normal, incluso después de cargarla por completo.
Nota

 La batería recargable no es un producto 

comercialmente disponible. Para comprar la 

batería recargable (NH-RDPT50), comuníquese 

con su distribuidor de Sony más cercano.

  Retire el tornillo del compartimiento de 

la batería en la parte inferior de la unidad 

y abra la tapa.

  Desconecte el conector de la batería y 

retire la batería vieja.

  Inserte una nueva batería y conecte su 

conector a la toma.

  Coloque nuevamente la tapa del 

compartimiento de la batería y ajuste el 

tornillo.

Notas
 Cargue la batería nueva antes de usarla. Para 

conocer más detalles, consulte la sección “Para 

preparar una fuente de energía”.

 Apague la unidad y desconecte el adaptador de 

ca antes de reemplazar la batería.

 Cuando reemplace la batería, coloque una tela 

suave, etc., debajo de la unidad.

Presione el botón RESET en la parte inferior de la 

unidad con un objeto puntiagudo si los botones 

de la unidad no funcionan.

Hay un soporte de almacenamiento en la parte 

posterior de la unidad. Para abrir el soporte, 

consulte la “Guía de inicio rápido”.

Cierre el soporte mientras mantiene presionado el 

botón RELEASE.

Coloque el control remoto en el soporte.

Antes de utilizar por primera vez el control 

remoto suministrado, quite la película aislante.

Apunte el control remoto a   (sensor remoto) de 

la unidad.

El botón indicador  parpadea cuando recibe 

el comando del control remoto.

En condiciones normales de uso, la batería 

(CR2025) debería durar unos 6 meses. Cuando la 

unidad ya no funcione con el control remoto, 

sustituya la batería por una nueva.

El lado  hacia arriba

 Si no va a utilizar el control remoto durante un 

período de tiempo prolongado, retire la batería 

para evitar que se produzcan daños por fugas o 

corrosión.
