B If a HotSync

®

 operation is performed once, your computer's name is 

displayed in [Primary PC Name:] in the 

 screen, which 

can be displayed by tapping [Primary PC Setup...] form [Options] in the 
menu of the 

 screen.

You need to delete this name the next time you perform the wireless LAN 
HotSync

®

 operation.

• If you enter “!!” as [Primary PC Name:], you do not need to delete the name 

every time you perform the wireless LAN HotSync

®

 operation.

• To perform a HotSync

®

 operation using the wireless LAN function, you need 

to set up the connection via a wireless LAN properly. Check the connection 
according to “I cannot connect to the Internet via a wireless LAN (for PEG-TJ37 only)” on page 29.

B Check that the IR port of your computer is enabled.

B The IR HotSync

®

 operation is not available if your computer does not have 

an IR port.

B Check that 

 (HotSync) is displayed in the task tray (Notification area) at 

the bottom right of your computer window and 

 is 

running. When 

 is running, the shortcut menu should 

be displayed by clicking 

 (HotSync).

B If you are using Windows 2000 Professional/Windows XP, click 

 

(HotSync) in the task tray (Notification area) at the bottom right of your 
computer window and ensure [InfraRed] is selected.

B If you are using Windows Me, click 

 (HotSync) in the task tray 

(Notification area) at the bottom right of your computer window and ensure 
[Local Serial] is selected.
