To verify the current network
components
1
From the Start menu, click Settings, click Network
and Dial-up Connections.
The Network and Dial-up Connections window
appears.

Double-click the Local Area Connection icon.
The Local Area Connection Properties dialog box
appears.
Confirm that the following network components
are displayed in the component list.
– NetBEUI Protocol.
– Internet Protocol (TCP/IP).
– Client for Microsoft Networks.
– File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks.
If everything is displayed, click Close and proceed
to To specify the IP address on page 33.
If any of these components are missing, you must
add each component individually.

Locate the icon that pops
up as, “Sony PCWA-C100
Wireless PC Card,” and
double-click it.
