• The RM-VD1 Remote Commander can be conencted to a Sony

video camera recorder equipped with a 

 LANC terminal or a

Sony digital still camera equipped with an ACC terminal.

• This can be operated by attaching to the pan handle of the

tripod or to the shoulder belt using the clip (g) provided.

• Be sure not to drop the Remote Commander or spill liquid on

it.

• Do not leave the Remote Commander under direct sunlight,

near a heater, or in locations with high humidity.

• Store the Remote Commander in the supplied pouch after use.
• Arrange the Remote cord (e) using the supplied band.
• When turning off the POWER switch (a) of the Remote

Commander, wait a while before turning it on again. If you
operate the POWER switch (a) repeatedly,the unit connected to
the Remote Commander may not turn on properly.

• When inserting or pulling the Remote plug (f), be sure to do so

in a straight line. Performing this operation forcibly may
damage either the remote plug or the unit connected.

*1 This button functions as the PHOTO button when the Remote

Commander is used with a video camera recorder. It functions
as the shutter button when the Remote Commander is used
with a digital still camera.

*2 This button functions only when the Remote Commander is

used with a video camera recorder.

1. Attach the Remote Commander to a certain object using the

clip (g) provided.
* When you use the Remote Commander attached to the

pan handle of the tripod, it is recommended that you hold
the Remote Commander in your hand to operate it as
shown in Figure B.

2. Be sure the video camera recorder/digital still camera to be

used is turned off before you insert the Remote plug (f) into
the 

 LANC terminal or the ACC terminal. Be sure to do so

in a straight line.

Slide the POWER switch (a) along the arrow mark to turn on
the recorder.
The indicators of the PHOTO button (b) and the VIDEO button
(c) light in orange.
Recording moving images:
Press the VIDEO button (c) to start recording. The indicator of
the VIDEO button that lights in orange turns red. Press this
VIDEO button (c) again to stop recording and set the recorder
to standby mode. At this time, the indicator lights in orange
again.
Recording still images:
When you press the PHOTO button (b) all the way down, the
image is recorded.
* Refer to the operating instructions of the unit used with the

Remote Commander for further information.

* Some video camera recorders do not record still images.

1. Slide the POWER switch (a) along the arrow mark to turn

on the recorder.
The indicator of the PHOTO button (b) lights in orange.

2. When you press the PHOTO button (b) all the way down,

the image is recorded.

* Refer to the operating instructions of the unit used with

the Remote Commander for further information.

3. Slide the POWER switch (a) along the arrow mark in Figure

B to turn off the camera.

Notes
• If an abnormality occurs, the indicator of the VIDEO button

(c) may flash. In this case, refer to the operating instructions
of the video camera recorder for further information.

• If you press and hold the PHOTO button (b) for a relatively

long time while using an external strobe, the strobe light may
not flash.

• Some video camera recorders models automatically start

from camera mode, which is one of the recorder’s functions,
when you turn the Remote Commander on. When you use
functions other than the camera mode, switch the mode
using the mode switch of the video camera recorder.

Press the Zoom button (d) of the Remote Commander halfway
down.
• T side (for telephoto): subject appears closer.
• W side (for wide-angle): subject appears farther away.
When you press the Zoom button (d) all the way down, some
video camera recorders/digital still cameras zoom more
quickly.

horizontalement. Si vous forcez pour brancher ou débrancher la

endommagés.

Prise de vue d’images animées :
Appuyez sur la touche VIDEO (c) pour lancer la prise de vue.
Le voyant de la touche vidéo, allumé en orange, devient rouge.
Appuyez de nouveau sur cette touche VIDEO (c) pour mettre
fin à la prise de vue et régler le caméscope en mode d’attente. A
ce moment, le voyant s’allume de nouveau en orange.
Prise de photos :
Lorsque vous appuyez à fond sur la touche PHOTO (b), la
photo est prise.

d’emploi de l’appareil utilisé avec la télécommande.

* Certains caméscopes ne permettent pas la prise de photos.

Remarques
• Si un phénomène anormal se produit, le voyant de la touche

VIDEO (c) peut se mettre à clignoter. Dans ce cas, reportez-
vous au mode d’emploi du caméscope pour obtenir de plus
amples informations.

• Si vous maintenez la touche PHOTO (b) enfoncée pendant

longtemps alors qu’un stroboscope externe est utilisé, il est
possible que la lumière stroboscopique ne clignote pas.

• Certains modèles de caméscopes démarrent

automatiquement à partir du mode d’appareil photo, qui est
une des fonctions du caméscope, lorsque vous mettez la
télécommande sous tension. Lors de l’utilisation de fonctions
autres que le mode d’appareil photo, commutez le mode à
l’aide du commutateur de mode du caméscope.

rapproché.

• Côté W (pour un grand-angle) : l’objet semble plus éloigné.

1. Schieben Sie den Schalter POWER (a) entlang der

Hinweise
• Wenn Störungen auftreten, blinkt unter Umständen die

Videokamera nach.

• Wenn Sie ein externes Stroboskop verwenden und die Taste

PHOTO (b) relativ lange gedrückt halten, blinkt das
Stroboskop unter Umständen nicht.

• Einige Videokameramodelle starten automatisch mit dem

Kameramodus, eine der Funktionen der Videokamera, wenn
Sie sie mit der Fernbedienung einschalten. Wenn Sie andere
Funktionen als den Kameramodus verwenden wollen,
wechseln Sie den Modus mit dem Modusschalter der
Videokamera.

• Si mantiene pulsado el botón PHOTO (b) durante un período

relativamente largo y utiliza al mismo tiempo un flash

Pulse el botón del zoom (d) del mando a distancia hasta la
mitad.

Si pulsa totalmente el botón del zoom (d), algunos modelos de

• Die Fernbedienung RM-VD1 können Sie an eine Videokamera

von Sony mit einem

Gerät ausschalten, warten Sie eine Weile, bevor Sie es wieder
einschalten. Wenn Sie den Schalter POWER (a) mehrmals
hintereinander betätigen, lässt sich das an die Fernbedienung
angeschlossene Gerät möglicherweise nicht richtig einschalten.

• Der Fernbedienungsstecker (f) muss gerade eingesteckt und

herausgezogen werden. Wenn Sie den Stecker gewaltsam schräg
einstecken bzw. herausziehen, kann der Fernbedienungsstecker

wenn die Fernbedienung mit einer digitalen Standbildkamera
verwendet wird.

1. Bringen Sie die Fernbedienung mit der mitgelieferten

Klammer (g) an einem angegebenen Gegenstand an.
* Wenn Sie die Fernbedienung am Schwenkarm eines

Stativs anbingen, empfiehlt es sich, die Fernbedienung
beim Bedienen wie in Abbildung B dargestellt in der
Hand zu halten.

2. Schalten Sie die Videokamera/digitale Standbildkamera

unbedingt aus, bevor Sie den Fernbedienungsstecker (f) an
den 

 LANC- bzw. ACC-Anschluss anschließen. Stecken

Sie den Fernbedienungsstecker unbedingt gerade in den
Anschluss.

Schieben Sie den Schalter POWER (a) entlang der
Pfeilmarkierung, um die Kamera einzuschalten.
Die Anzeigen der Taste PHOTO (b) und der Taste VIDEO (c)
leuchten orange.
Aufnehmen von bewegten Bildern:
Starten Sie die Aufnahme mit der Taste VIDEO (c). Die Anzeige
der Taste VIDEO wechselt von orange zu rot. Wenn Sie die
Taste VIDEO (c) erneut drücken, wird die Aufnahme gestoppt
und die Kamera wechselt in den Bereitschaftsmodus. Nun
leuchtet die Anzeige wieder orange.

• El mando a distancia RM-VD1 puede conectarse a una

• Cuando inserte o extraiga la clavija remota (f), asegúrese de

hacerlo en línea recta. Si lo hace de manera forzada, puede dañar
esta clavija o la unidad conectada.

1. Fije el mando a distancia a un objeto mediante la pinza (g)

suministrada.
* Cuando utilice el mando a distancia fijado al mango

panorámico del trípode, se recomienda que sostenga el
primero con la mano para manejarlo, tal y como se
muestra en la figura B.

2. Compruebe que la videograbadora o la cámara de imágenes

fijas que va a utilizar esté apagada antes de conectar la
clavija remota (f) en el terminal 

 LANC o en el terminal

ACC. Asimismo, inserte esta clavija en línea recta.

Deslice el selector POWER (a) en la dirección que indica la
flecha para encender la videocámara.
Los indicadores de los botones PHOTO (b) y VIDEO (c) se
iluminarán en naranja.
Grabación de imágenes en movimiento:
Pulse el botón VIDEO (c) para iniciar la grabación. El indicador
del botón VIDEO que se iluminó en naranja cambiará a rojo.
Pulse de nuevo el botón VIDEO (c) para detener la grabación y
ponga la videocámara en modo de espera. Cuando lo haga, el
indicador se iluminará de nuevo en naranja.
Grabación de imágenes fijas:
Cuando pulse completamente el botón PHOTO (b), la imagen
se grabará.
* Consulte el manual de instrucciones de la unidad que utilice

con el mando a distancia para obtener más información.

* Algunas videocámaras no pueden grabar imágenes fijas.

1. Deslice el selector POWER (a) en la dirección que indica la

flecha para encender la videocámara.

Notas
• Si se produce una situación anormal, es posible que el

indicador del botón VIDEO (c) parpadee. En tal caso,

wellicht niet correct ingeschakeld.

• Als u de aansluiting van de afstandsbediening (f) aansluit of

verwijdert, moet u dit in een rechte lijn doen. Als u deze
handeling met kracht verkeerd uitvoert, kan de aansluiting van
de afstandsbediening of het aangesloten apparaat worden
beschadigd.

1. Bevestig de afstandsbediening op een bepaald voorwerp

met de bijgeleverde clip (g).

Schuif de POWER schakelaar (a) in de richting van de pijl om
de videocamera in te schakelen.
De lampjes van de PHOTO knop (b) en de VIDEO knop (c)
gaan oranje branden.
Bewegende beelden opnemen
Druk op de VIDEO knop (c) om de opname te starten. Het
lampje van de VIDEO knop verandert van oranje in rood. Druk
nogmaals op de VIDEO knop (c) om de opname te beëindigen
en de videocamera in de opnamepauzestand te zetten. Het
lampje wordt dan weer oranje.
Stilstaande beelden opnemen
Als u de PHOTO knop (b) volledig indrukt, wordt het beeld
opgenomen.
* Raadpleeg de gebruiksaanwijzing van het apparaat dat met

de afstandsbediening wordt gebruikt voor meer informatie.

* Bepaalde videocamera’s kunnen geen stilstaande beelden

opnemen.

1. Schuif de POWER schakelaar (a) in de richting van de pijl

om de videocamera in te schakelen.
Het lampje van de PHOTO knop (b) gaat oranje branden.

2. Als u de PHOTO knop (b) volledig indrukt, wordt het beeld

opgenomen.
* Raadpleeg de gebruiksaanwijzing van het apparaat dat

met de afstandsbediening wordt gebruikt voor meer
informatie.

3. Schuif de POWER schakelaar (a) in de richting van de pijl in

afbeelding B om de camera uit te schakelen.

Opmerkingen
• Als er een probleem optreedt, kan het lampje van de VIDEO

knop (c) gaan knipperen. In dit geval moet u de
gebruiksaanwijzing bij de videocamera raadplegen voor
meer informatie.

• Als u de PHOTO knop (b) langere tijd ingedrukt houdt

terwijl u een extern flitslicht gebruikt, flitst het flitslicht
wellicht niet.

• Als u de afstandsbediening inschakelt, worden bepaalde

videocamera’s automatisch gestart in de camerastand. Dit is
een van de functies van videocamera’s. Als u een andere
functie dan de camerastand gebruikt, moet u de stand
wijzigen met de schakelaar voor standen op de videocamera.

Druk de zoomknop (d) van de afstandsbediening half in.
• T-zijde (voor tele-opnamen): het onderwerp lijkt dichterbij.
• W-zijde (voor groothoekopnamen): het onderwerp lijkt

verder weg.

Als u de zoomknop (d) volledig indrukt, zoomen bepaalde
videocamera's/digitale camera's sneller in of uit.

• Fjärrkontrollen RM-VD1 kan anslutas till en Sony videokamera

med 

 LANC-terminal eller en Sony digital stillbildskamera

med ACC-terminal.

• Du kan manövrera fjärrkontrollen genom att fästa den på

kamerastativets panoreringshandtag eller på axelremmen med
hjälp av det medföljande clipet (g).

• Se till så att du inte tappar fjärrkontrollen eller spiller vätska på

den.

• Lämna inte fjärrkontrollen i direkt solljus, nära ett

värmeelement eller på en plats där det är mycket fuktigt.

• När du använt fjärrkontrollen förvarar du den i den

medföljande väskan.

• Ordna och fäst kabeln till fjärrkontrollen (e) med det

medföljande bandet.

• Om du stänger av strömmen till fjärrkontrollen med POWER-

omkopplaren (a) bör du vänta en stund innan du slår på
strömmen igen. Om du använder POWER-omkopplaren (a)
flera gånger efter varandra kan det hända att enheten som är
ansluten till fjärrkontrollen inte slås på som den ska.

• När du sätter i eller kopplar bort kontakten till fjärrkontrollen

(f) måste du se till att du håller den rakt. Om du använder våld
när du kopplar i eller ur kontakten kan antingen kontakten
eller den anslutna enheten skadas.

1. Fäst fjärrkontrollen på önskad plats med hjälp av det

medföljande clipet (g).
* När du använder fjärrkontrollen på kamerastativets

panoreringshandtag rekommenderas du att hålla
fjärrkontrollen i handen, som i fig B, när du använder
den.

2. Kontrollera att videokameran eller den digitala

stillbildskameran är avstängd innan du sätter i kontakten
för fjärrkontrollen (f) i 

 LANC- eller ACC-terminalen.

Se till att du håller kontakten rakt när du kopplar i den.

Starta inspelningen genom att trycka på VIDEO-knappen (c).
VIDEO-knappens indikator, som lyser orange, växlar över
till rött. Tryck på den här VIDEO-knappen (c) igen när du
vill avbryta inspelningen och ställa inspelningen i
standbyläge. Nu lyser indikatorn orange igen.
Spela in stillbilder:
Bilden tas när du trycker in PHOTO-knappen (b) helt.
* Mer information finns i bruksanvisningen till den enhet

som du använder fjärrkontrollen för.

* Vissa videokameror kan inte spela in stillbilder.

Obs!
• Om någon funktionsstörning inträffar kan det hända att

VIDEO-knappens indikator (c) blinkar.  I så fall finns mer
information i bruksanvisningen till videokameran.

• Om du trycker in PHOTO-knappen (b) under en längre tid

när du använder en extern blixt kan det hända att den inte
utlöses.

• När du slår på strömmen till fjärrkontrollen kan vissa

modeller av videokameror automatiskt starta i
kameraläget, som är en av videokamerans funktioner. Om
du då vill använda ett annat läge än kameraläget, växlar
du läge med videokamerans lägesomkopplare.

Tryck ned zoomknappen (d) på fjärrkontrollen halvvägs.
• T-sidan (för telefoto): motivet verkar ligga närmare.
• W-sidan (för vidvinkelinspelning): motivet verkar mer

avlägset.

När du trycker in zoomningsknappen (d) helt zoomar vissa
videokameror/digitala stillbildskameror snabbare.
