To prevent hum, connect the earth lead to the 

y SIGNAL

GND terminal on the amplifier.

This section describes how to connect your audio and
video (audio signal only) components to the amplifier,
so you can listen to stereo sources in surround sound.
Be sure to place the amplifier on top of other
components
For specific locations of the jacks, see the illustration
below.

Audio cords (1 for the CD player, tuner, turntable, LD player
or TV game;  2 for the tape deck or VCR)

The arrow ç indicates signal flow.
