Tapes recorded with the REC TIME/
PLAY MODE switch in the DOUBLE
position cannot be played properly on
a tape recorder without the REC

Dry Batteries (see Fig. A-A)

Open the battery compartment
lid.

Insert two R6 (size AA)
batteries with correct polarity
and close the lid.

Notes
• Do not charge a dry battery.
• Do not use a new battery with an old

one.

• Do not use different types of

batteries.

• When you do not use the unit for a

long time, remove the batteries to
avoid any damage caused by battery
leakage and subsequent corrosion.

• Dry batteries will not be drained

when another power source is
connected.

To take out the batteries
(see Fig. A-B)

To attach the battery
compartment lid if it is
accidentally detached (see
Fig. A-C)

When to replace the
batteries (see Fig.A-D)

Replace the batteries with new ones
when the BATT lamp dims.

Notes
• After the batteries have been used

for a while, the BATT lamp may
flicker with the playback sound
when you turn up the volume;
however this does not mean that
you need to replace the batteries.

• The unit will play back normally for

a while, even after the BATT lamp
dims. However, replace the batteries
as soon as you can. If you do not,
subsequent recording will not be
done correctly.

Note
The battery life may shorten depending

For maximum performance we
recommend that you use alkaline
batteries.

You can record right away with the
built-in microphone.
Make sure that nothing is connected
to the MIC jack (TCM-200DV only).

Insert a normal (TYPE I) tape
with the side to be recorded
facing the cassette holder.

For TCM-200DV only:
Set REC TIME/PLAY MODE to
the desired mode.
NORMAL (4.8cm/s): for
optimum sound.
Recommended for normal
recordings.
DOUBLE (2.4cm/s): for double
recording time (for example,
120 minutes using both sides of
a 60-minute cassette). Suitable
for recording conferences,
dictations, etc. Not
recommended for recording
music.

For TCM-200DV only:
Set VOR to H or L to start and
pause recording automatically,
depending on the recording
condition.

H (high) to record at
meetings or in a quiet and/
or spacious place.
L (low) to record for
dictation or in a noisy place.

Set VOR to OFF to start and
stop recording manually.

Note
When the sound to be recorded is
not loud enough, set the VOR
switch to OFF, or the unit may
not start recording.

Press z REC.

Notes
• Do not use a High-position (TYPE II)

or metal (TYPE IV) tape. If you do
so, the sound may be distorted when
you play back the tape, or the
previous recording may not be
erased completely.

• The SPEED CONTROL switch (see

reverse side) works in Playback
mode only. Recording will be made
independent of this control. (TCM-
200DV only)

Notes on VOR (Voice Operated
Recording) (TCM-200DV only)
• The VOR system is affected by the

environmental recording conditions.
When you use the system in a noisy
place, the unit will stay in Recording
mode. If the sound is too soft, on the
contrary, the unit will not start
recording. Set it to H (high) or L
(low) so that the system will pick up
the necessary sound only.
If you cannot get the results you
want, set it to OFF.

• The VOR system may not record the

beginning of the sound you want to
record because it starts recording
only after it catches the sound. For
an important recording, set it to
OFF.

To prevent a tape from
being accidentally recorded
over (see Fig. B-C)

Break off and remove the cassette
tabs. To reuse the tape for
recording, cover the tab hole with
adhesive tape.

准备电源

干电池（参见图 A-A）

打开电池室盖。

装入两个 R6 (五号，AA) 电
池，注意装对极性，然后关上盖
子。

注

• 不可试图给干电池充电。
• 不可混用新、旧电池。
• 不可混用不同型式的电池。
• 长期不使用机器时，请卸下电池保

存，以免因电池漏液腐蚀损坏机器。

• 当接用其他电源使用时，并不消耗装

在机器内的干电池。

要取出电池时（参见图 A-B）

要安装因意外掉下来的电池室盖时

（参见图 A-C）

何时须更换电池（参见图 A-D）

当 BATT  指示灯变暗时请用新

电池更换。

注

• 电池经使用了一段时间以后，如果在

播放中调大音量，BATT 指示灯可能
会随之闪烁。这并非表示必须更换电
池。

• BATT 指示灯变暗之后，机器仍能正

常地播放一段时间。此时请尽早更换
电池。否则随后的录音不能正常进
行。

录音

利用内装麦克风，可以立即录

音。

确认 MIC（麦克风）插孔是否

没连接着任何东西（TCM-200DV
为限）。

装入标准 (TYPE Ⅰ) 磁带让要开
始录音的一面朝磁带座方向。

用于 TCM-200DV 为限：
将 REC TIME/PLAY MODE 设
定于希望的模式。
NORMAL（4.8  cm／秒）：音
质最佳。适用于普通的录音。
DOUBLE（2.4 cm／秒）：两倍
录音时间（用  60  分钟盒带的双
面合计可录音 120 分钟）。适用
于会议录音，口授记录录音等。
此模式最好不用于录音乐。

用于 TCM-200DV 为限：
将 VOR 设定于 H 或 L 以便能随
录音条件有无而自动地起动和暂
停录音。

H（高灵敏度）用于会议录
音或在宁静和／或广阔的地
方进行录音时。
L （低灵敏度）用于直接录
音或吵杂地方的录音。

将 VOR 设定于 OFF（关掉）以
便手动地起动和停止录音。

注

所要录的声音不够大时，请将 VOR
开关设定于 OFF，否则机器可能不
会开始录音。

按 z REC。
N

 PLAY 将同时被按下而开始

录音。

当磁带录到终端时，即停止录音

而机器将自动地关掉电源。

注

• 请不要使用高位  (TYPE  Ⅱ)  或金属

(TYPE Ⅳ) 磁带。若采用这类磁带，
当您播放磁带时，可能会声音失真，
或可能不能完全抹净以前的录音。

• SPEED CONTROL（速度控制）开

关（参看倒绕面）只有在放音模式时
起作用。录音将与此开关无关。

VOR（语声控制录音）须知

（TCM-200DV 为限）

• VOR 系统受录音环境条件的影响。当

在嘈杂的地方使用此系统时，机器将
停留于录音模式。相反地，如果声音
太柔和，机器便不能开始录音。请适
当地设定为 H（强）或 L（弱）以便
让系统只拾录必要的声音。
如果不能获所要求的结果，即请把它
设定于 OFF。

• VOR 系统可能不能录到所需要的开头

的声音，因为它必须等感应到声音时
才开始录音。进行重要录音时，请把
它设定于 OFF。

为防止磁带意外重复录音
（参见图 B-C）

请折除盒式磁带上的翼片。当要

重新利用磁带录音时，可用粘胶带盖
住翼片孔。
