Extend the headphones/earphones cord and adjust the
FM ST/MONO or DX/LOCAL switch.

• Do not use cassettes longer than 90 minutes except for

long continuous playback.

• If the tape is playing but no sound comes out, the

batteries may be weak. Replace all batteries with new
ones.

• If your Walkman has not been used for a long time, run

the Walkman for a few minutes before inserting a
cassette.

• Do not open the cassette holder while the tape is

running.

If you have inserted a cassette with a metallic shell or
label, and interference in radio reception occurs, remove
the cassette.

• Do not expose the Walkman to extreme temperatures,

direct sunlight, moisture, sand, dust, or mechanical
shock. Never leave the Walkman in a car parked in the
sun.

• Do not wind the headphones/earphones cord around

the Walkman. The buttons may be kept pressed, causing
unnecessary battery usage.

Wear the “L” marked side to the left ear and the “R”
marked side to the right ear.

• Non usare cassette di durata superiore a 90 minuti se

non per riproduzioni lunghe e continuate.

• Se il nastro sta riproducendo ma non si sente nessun

suono, significa che le pile sono scariche. Sostituire tutte
le pile con altre nuove.

• Se il Walkman non è stato usato per un lungo periodo,

regolarlo in modo di riproduzione per alcuni minuti
prima di inserire la cassetta.

• Non aprire il comparto cassetta mentre il nastro sta

scorrendo.

Se è inserita una cassetta con un involucro metallico o
etichette metalliche e ci sono interferenze nella ricezione
radio, estrarre la cassetta.

• Evitare di esporre il Walkman a temperature

eccessivamente alte o basse, luce solare diretta, umidità,
sabbia, polvere o scosse meccaniche. Non lasciare il
Walkman all’interno di un’automobile parcheggiata al
sole.

• Evitare di avvolgere il cavo delle cuffie/auricolari

intorno al Walkman. I tasti potrebbero essere premuti
causando un inutile consumo delle pile.

Portare quello marcato con una “L” all’orecchio sinistro e
quello marcato con una “R” all’orecchio destro.

is reduced.

To use the speaker
Set SPEAKER to ON. The sound will play
from the speaker and no sound from the
headphones/earphones.
When the speaker is in use, the AVLS
function will not operate.

Listening to the radio
Since the headphones/earphones cord
serves as an FM antenna, connect the
headphones/earphones even when
using the speaker.
