Cleaning the Walkman

• Prolonged use may contaminate the tape head. If sound

drop-out or excessive noise occurs, clean the head and tape
path with alcohol.

• Clean the headphones plug periodically for optimum

sound.

• Do not use alcohol, benzine or thinner to clean the case.

About headphones

Road safety
Do not use headphones while driving, cycling, or
operating any motorized vehicle. It may create a traffic
hazard and is illegal in some areas. It can also be
potentially dangerous to play your headsets at high
volume while walking, especially at pedestrian crossings.
You should exercise extreme caution or discontinue use in
potentially hazardous situations.

About batteries

• When you are not going to use your Walkman for a long

time, remove the batteries to prevent damage from
battery leakage and corrosion.

About external power

You can connect the following external power sources
through the DC IN 3 V jack located on the bottom. (When
you plug a cord into the DC IN 3 V jack, the internal
batteries are automatically bypassed.)
• House current using an AC-E30HG AC power adaptor

Reinigung des Walkman

Vermeidung von Gehörschäden
Betreiben Sie den Kopfhörer nicht mit hoher Lautstärke,

Nettoyage du Walkman

Respect d’autrui
Ecoutez à volume modéré. Ceci vous permet d’entendre les
sons extérieurs et d’être attentif à votre entourage.

Au sujet des piles

• Si le Walkman ne doit pas être utilisé pendant un certain

temps, enlever les piles pour éviter tout dommage causé
par une fuite d’électrolyte ou de la corrosion.

Au sujet de l’alimentation externe

Vous pouvez raccorder les sources d’alimentation externes
suivantes à la prise DC IN 3 V située sur le socle. (Quand
vous branchez un cordon à la prise DC IN 3 V, les piles
internes sont automatiquement contournées.)

Auriculares

Seguridad en la carretera
No utilice los auriculares cuando conduzca, vaya en

Reinigen van de weergavekop

• Na langdurig gebruik kan de weergavekop vuil geworden

zijn. Als het geluid met ruis gepaard gaat of vervormd
klinkt, reinigt u de weergavekop en de bandloop-
onderdelen met alkohol.

• Maak de stekker van de hoofdtelefoon regelmatig schoon

om verzekerd te blijven van een optimale geluidsweergave.

• Gebruik voor het reinigen van de behuizing geen spiritus,

benzine of verfverdunner.

Note sulle cuffie

Sicurezza stradale
Non usare mai le cuffie mentre si è alla guida di veicoli,

Rengöring

• Efter längre tids bruk kan bandhuvudet bli smutsigt.

t.o.m. olagligt i vissa länder. Det kan också vara farligt att
lyssna på ljudet med hög volymnivå under en promenad, i
synnerhet vid övergångsställen för fotgängare. Var mycket
försiktig, alternativt lyssna inte på ljudet via hörlurarna i
farliga situationer.

Angående batterierna

• Ta ur batterierna, när kassettradion inte ska användas

under en längre tidsperiod, för att skydda kassettradion
mot skador på grund av batteriläckage och korrosion.

Denk om uw gehoor
Vermijd gedurende lange tijd luisteren naar een luid
ingestelde hoofdtelefoon. Dit zou kunnen leiden tot
beschadiging van uw trommelvlies. Verlaag het volume of
gebruik de Walkman niet wanneer uw oren suizen.

Houd rekening met anderen
Houd het volume altijd binnen redelijke grenzen, zodat u

Opmerkingen betreffende hoofdtelefoons

Voor veilig verkeer
Vermijd het luisteren naar uw hoofdtelefoon tijdens
autorijden, fietsen, en dergelijke. Het is gevaarlijk en op
sommige plaatsen verboden. Zelfs als u over straat loopt,
kan luisteren met een te hoog volume al gevaar met zich
meebrengen. U hoort minder, met als gevolg meer risico
bij het oversteken van de straat, weg of spoorlijn. Wees
dus uiterst voorzichtig en neem liefst de hoofdtelefoon af
wanneer er ook maar enige kans is dat de situatie gevaar
kan opleveren.

Betreffende batterijen

• Wanneer u de Walkman geruime tijd niet gebruikt, is het

beter de batterijen eruit te verwijderen, om schade door
eventuele batterijlekkage en corrosie te voorkomen.

Gebruik op externe stroomvoorziening

Op de gelijkstroomingang (DC IN 3 V, aan de onderkant
van het apparaat) kunt u desgewenst de volgende
voedingsbronnen aansluiten. (Wanneer u een snoer op de
gelijkstroomingang aansluit, worden de inwendige
batterijen automatisch afgesloten.)
• Op het lichtnet met behulp van een AC-E30HG

netspanningsadapter

Mocht u vragen of problemen betreffende het apparaat hebben die niet in deze gebruiksaanwijzing aan de orde komen,
aarzel dan niet kontakt op te nemen met de dichtstbijzijnde Sony handelaar.

• Als de weergave onstabiel of vervormd begint te klinken,

dient u alle batterijen door nieuwe te vervangen.
