Subject: 
Countermeasure for the malfunction reported from the market. 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Symptom:
 Due to software bugs in the MICON:  
1) When the AVR amplifier connects to EPSON EMP-TW1000
®
 with HDMI 
cable, the picture does not display properly.  
2) When the customer connects the HDMI output of the source equipment (ex. 
DViCO M-5000
®
, Linn Unidisk
®
 1.1, Handy Cam
®
 or PC etc.) which does not 
support HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection system) to the HDMI 
input of an AV amplifier, the picture blinks.  
3) When the customer connects the source equipment to the COMPONENT 
input of an AV amplifier and Display with an HDMI connection, if the customer 
controls the MASTER VOLUME up and down, a Flashing Noise is indicated in 
the picture.  
4) The AV amplifier does not support the LPCM 7.1ch digital signal from the 
HDMI input.  
5) The AV amplifier does not support the Audio Digital signal at PC resolution 
(SVGA, XGA, etc.) from the HDMI input. 
 
 
Solution: 
Update the MICON Software. 
Please install the Exclusive Writer Software to a PC and rewrite your customer's 
unit upon claim. (Please refer to the supplied rewriting procedures.) 
•  The Installation Software of the Exclusive Writer Software to be installed 
to the PC. FWCV_4806_V0039_SETUP.exe (The Exclusive Writer 
Software for the AVR-4806.)
