Subject:
Operation noise during the standby mode when playing back
specific MP3 discs.

Symptom:
When playing back MP3 or JPEG file that has been recorded by
means of Windows XP, the operation noise (Track Jump) in the standby mode
during the MP3 folder indication is too high. This occurs when recording the data
on a disc by means of Windows XP.  The data is always arranged near the Lead-
out area, and the number of Track jump operations to the Lead-out area is
increased. As a result, the operation noise has become audible.

Solution:
The F/E (Front-end) firmware has been improved so that the number
of Track Jumps is optimized.  Please upgrade your customer's unit to "AK20 [Dr
V040407A0]" upon claim.

 • The Volume Label of the disc for upgrading shall be "RMC_LDR_DOWN".
Please Note (about recording the Disc):
• When recording the supplied file on the blank CD-R, the format shall be
"ISO9660" and the session shall be "CLOSE".
• When recording the supplied file on the disc, please use the lowest recording
speed that is available on your PC. If the file is recorded at a higher speed, the
rewriting operation may fail due to improperly recorded data on the disc.
