Subject:
Countermeasure for noise of the Digital Output.
Symptom:
The Digital Output (OPTICAL-5/6 OUT Terminal) produces
continuous noise. Continuous random noise, or turns into a condition that noise
and music overlapped.
The condition: After setting the Input Source to the Digital Input, and when the
REC OUT SELECT is set to the SOURCE, and the Surround Mode is set to
either of DIRECT, PURE DIRECT, STEREO or DOLBY HEADPHONES Mode.
(DENON Link input mode is not included in the condition.) Under any of the
above conditions, Speaker Output, Headphones Output, Preamplifier Output and
Analog Output operate properly.

Solution:
Rewrite the PLD (IC611 EPM3128ATC144-10) and the Sub-
MICON (IC701 M30620FCMGP).
Modification Procedure:
PLD: Connect the Jig for the exclusive use (1U-3602-4) to the Parallel Port of
PC, and connect the Jig's 7P wire to be connected to the CX402 to the CX975 on
the 1U-3425. Then, transfer the data file for rewriting from the PC. (Please refer
to the attached procedures.)

* Tool Name for rewriting the PLD: Quartus II Programmer 3.0
Sub-MICON: Use DENON Flash ROM Writer II and transfer the data from the
PC.
Modification Procedure:

the 1U-3425. Then, transfer the data file for rewriting from the PC. (Please refer
