Subject: 
A malfunction of the Memory Backup System.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Symptom:
 When the unit is left for longer than 10 minutes after disconnecting 
the AC Power Cord, the unit enters the initial mode and no memory backup is 
carried out. 
 
 
Solution:  
1) Remove the CPU Unit (1U- XXXXX). 
2)  Cut the circuit patterns connected to Pins #53 and #54 of IC201. 
3)  Attach the Rubber Sheet outlined in the Parts section. 
4)  Solder the lead wire of the Cathode side of Diode so that the Pins #53 and#54 
are short circuited. Then, connect the other terminal of the Diode to theJ205. 
5)  Assemble the unit.
