Countermeasures for the malfunction upon playing a Video CD. 

 

 

 

 A malfunction occurs that the sound and picture stops and the unit 

is incapable of playing the disc upon playing a specific Video CD.  
1)  The sound and picture are stopped and a mosaic appears on the display. 
2)  The malfunction occurs that the unit is incapable of selecting a Track to be 
played, or incapable of reading TOC. 
• Regarding the specific Video CD, the malfunction occurs due to a time 
difference in the recorded data (between the Header and Sub-code) on the disc. 
• Title of the specific disc: “Green Mile” and “Haunting” 

 
Solution: 

Replace the DVD Mechanism Microprocessor with the updated one. 

1)  DVD-1500: Replace the IC8 on the Servo Unit with updated IC. 
2)  DVD-1000: Replace the IC511 on the MAIN Unit with updated IC.

F1.39 into F1.41.
