CompuSwitch-PENT models for two, four and eight computers offer the reliability and
performance of high-end KVM (Keyboard, Video, Mouse) switch products, at a lower
price. CompuSwitch-PENT is an ideal choice to save time and space for smaller-scale PC
environments like branch office and departmental LANs, small businesses, government

CompuSwitch-PENT is built with Raritan’s unique emulation technology, which dedicates
an individual processor to each connected computer so that each computer always
“sees” its own keyboard and mouse. This eliminates keyboard and mouse lockups and
ensures smooth, flawless switching and operation of any mix of computers running any
operating system. Selection of computers is done directly by touching the individual
port buttons on the front panel of CompuSwitch-PENT. Standard features like AutoScan
and AutoSkip make operation simple and convenient. CompuSwitch-PENT can be rack-
mounted for a neat, professional installation with an available 1U, industrial strength,
rack-mount chassis with a built-in cable support bracket.

CompuSwitch-PENT is available in 2-channel, 4-channel and 8-channel models, and is
powered by the connected computers. Connect any mix of computers, running any
operating system. Raritan’s unique keyboard and mouse emulation ensures flawless
operation of all connected computers.

Installation is as easy as connecting our tangle-proof cables into the keyboard, monitor
and mouse ports of each computer. These coaxial, double-shielded cables maintain
high-resolution video.
