In normal operation the baseband is powered from the phone Li–ion bat-
tery.  The battery consists of two Lithium–Ion cell connected in parallel.
An external charger is used for recharging the battery and supplying pow-
er to the phone.  The charger is a ”performance travel charger” (Nokia
ACP–9)  that can deliver supply current up to 850 mA . It is also possible
to use a standard travel charger (Nokia ACP–7).  The ACP–7 delivers
only 400 mA which is too little for charging the battery during a call.
The baseband contains components that control power distribution to the
CMT parts excluding those that use continuous battery supply.  The bat-
tery feeds power directly to three CMT parts of the system: CCONT, pow-
er amplifier, and CMT UI.   The figure above is the block diagram of the
power distribution.
