A port replicator is available as an option (CF-VEB272A). This device eliminates the
hassles of having you connect/disconnect the various cables when carrying your com-
puter around and allows a variety of peripherals to be connected including a head-
phone, microphone, or external display, etc.

The port replicator connects to the expansion bus connector on the back of your com-
puter.

Setting the Port Replicator

Turn your computer on.

When the message [Press <F2> to enter SETUP] is displayed, press

run the Setup Utility.

Select [Advanced] menu and set [Serial Port B] to [Enable] and [Device] to [Port
Replicator].

To be able to use the serial port B of the port replicator, be sure to follow the steps below.

CAUTION
The serial port B of the port replicator cannot be used with the default settings.
Hot/Warm Docking and Hot/Warm Undocking are not possible with the port
replicator.
