Dubbing programmes or play list (continued)
Note
≥The contents of dubbing lists will remain in the memory even
after the power has been turned off. In the case of the DVD drive,
the contents are erased if [
<, OPEN/CLOSE] (43) is pressed.
However, note that if original programmes and play lists are
erased, all the dubbing lists will also be erased.
≥It is not possible to activate timer recording during dubbing.
≥Even if you select a higher picture quality recording mode than
that of the dubbing source, it will not be possible to obtain picture
quality better than the dubbing source (although selection may be
effective in combating loss in picture quality during recording).
≥When dubbing a programme, playlists made from that
programme will not be dubbed.
≥The programme settings (protect, etc) are reproduced in the
dubbed material. (If you select the recording mode other than
“High Speed”, markers are not reproduced).
≥Select the TV system (PAL/NTSC) of the programme you wish to
dub. (page 78)

scenes made from that programme) are erased.
A message screen is displayed when dubbing.
≥Programmes with recording limitations and play lists with

However, with the following exceptions the recording mode is
changed automatically to “FR”:
- When the programme will not fit onto the disc if recorded using
the recording mode of the dubbing source.
- When dubbing play lists.
