When carrying the camera, do not
drop or bump it.
i A strong impact can break the
camera’s casing, causing it to
malfunction.
Cleaning
Before cleaning the camera, remove
the battery and disconnect the
power cord from the power outlet,
and then wipe the camera with a
soft dry cloth.
i For stubborn dirt, soak a cloth in
water, wring it out well, and use it
to wipe the dirty surfaces. Then
dry the surfaces with a dry cloth.
i Use of benzine, paint thinner,
alcohol, or dishwashing liquid
may alter the camera body or
peel the surface finish. Do not
use these solvents.
i When using a chemical dust
cloth, use in accordance with the
instructions that came with the
cloth.
Do not use the camera for
business purposes, such as for
surveillance.
i Continuous use could cause the
camera to overheat and break.
i This camera is not for
commercial use.
When you are not going to use
the camera for an extended time
i When storing the camera in a
cupboard or cabinet, it is
recommended that you place a
desiccant (silica gel) in with it.
When disposing of or transferring
the camera
i Using this camera's [FORMAT] or
[DELETE] function only changes
the file management information
and does not completely delete
the built-in memory data. It may
be possible to recover (restore)
data using commercially available
software for that purpose.
i When disposing of the camera or
giving it to someone else, it is
recommended that you physically
format the built-in memory.
To physically format the built-in
memory, connect the AC adaptor
to the camera, eject the card from
the camera, select [FORMAT]
from Option Setting Menu 2, and
press the SET button.
When the display to delete the
built-in memory appears, select
[DELETE DATA], press the SET
button, and then follow the on-
screen instructions.
i Managing the data in the built-in
memory is the responsibility of
the user. Panasonic does not
accept any responsibility in the
event that personal data is
leaked.
