AUTO SWITCHING

This function automatically identifies wide signal
*1
 or 
16:9/4:3 and automatically recalls memory settings 
that have been set for each screen size.
*1 :  Wide signals are 2.35:1,  
2.40:1, 2.50:1, 2.55:1 aspect signals.

given period of time once the input signal switches 
from 16:9/4:3 to 2.35:1.

period of time once the input signal switches from 
2.35:1 to 16:9/4:3.
If [OFF] is selected, automatic identification will not

be performed.
This function is not available when [ZOOM] or 
 
z
[V-FIT] is selected from the [ASPECT] menu.
Note
If the memory is not registered using [MEMORY SAVE] in 
 
z
the [SCREEN AREA MEMORY] menu, you cannot select 
[AUTO SWITCHING].
When displaying the menu or test pattern, automatic 
 
z
identification is not performed.
Images may not be correctly recognized if there is noise 
 
z
in the picture or external device generates noise. Image 
size may also not be correctly recognized depending on 
the video.
Image size may not be correctly recognized if the input 
 
z
signal level from the external device is not set to the 
suggested value range. In this case, adjust the input 
signal level using the [WAVEFORM MONITOR] menu.

You can move the frame area horizontally, such as 
aligning the right or left frame edge to the screen 
edge.

For example, when projecting an overscanned 16:9 
projection area at a 4:3 aspect ratio on a 4:3 aspect 
screen, you can adjust the horizontal discrepancy 
between the screen position and the video display 
position.

aligning the top or bottom frame edge to the screen 
edge.

adjust the vertical discrepancy between the screen 
position and the video display position.
