Initial settings

Selecting RATINGS [DVD]
This feature is used to disable the playing of some DVDs which are unsuitable for some audiences, for example, children.
Some DVDs are encoded with a specific rating level. If the rating level of the disc is higher than that preset in
the initial settings operation, playback of the disc will be prohibited.

THEN  PRESS  ENTER.

Input new password and press ENTER button.

Press the SELECT (   ,   ) button to select RATINGS and press ENTER button.
Input a 4-digit password with the numeric buttons
and press ENTER button.
Do not forget your password.
Note: If you forget the password, it can be reset by putting the
unit into factory setting condition (1111). (See page 25)

Press the SELECT (   ,   ) button to select the level and press ENTER button.
Setting is finished and the initial settings screen is displayed.
• The rating is locked. Any discs with a higher rating than the setting cannot be played back unless the
password is entered.
Level 8:
All DVDs can be played. (No Limit)
(Factory preset)
Level 7 to 1: Prevents play of DVDs with ratings recorded on
them.(those that contain adult or violent scens).
Level 0:
Play back of all DVDs is prohibited.
(e.g. to prohibit playback of DVDs for adults which
are not encoded with rating information).
