Windows XP automatically handles fluctuations in microprocessor performance during 

power source changes. Therefore, Intel SpeedStep technology is not included with computers 

running Windows XP. 

If your computer has a Mobile Intel Pentium® III processor, the Power Options Properties window 

includes the Intel® SpeedStep™ tab.
