What appears to be trouble is not always serious. Check the following points before calling a service 
center.

• Navigation voice cannot 

be heard from the 
speakers.

Guidance voice level is set 
to the minimum level.

Adjust it to the optimum 
level.

• Navigation System does 

not work at all.

The built-in microcomputer 
may have functioned 
incorrectly, etc.

Reset the unit (see page 2).

•  “Low Temperature” 

appears and Navigation/
Disc/HDD/SD do not 
work.

The internal temperature 
is too low. This is normal. 
Internal protective circuitry 
is working.

Leave the power on, and 
wait until the internal 
temperature rises and the 
indication goes off.

• Navigation information is 

not precise.

GPS antenna is affected by 
the windshield if installed in 
the car compartment.

Install the GPS antenna 
outside to avoid interference.

• Mechanical noises are 

heard.

The HDD is constantly 
rotating at a high speed 
when the car ignition switch 
is on, causing imperceptible 
mechanical noise (especially 
when the temperature is 
low).

 This is normal.

•  “NO P.O.I. FOUND” 

appears on the display.

There are no matching 
points in your selected city 
or area.

Find the location using 
another method.

•  “NO NAVIGABLE 

AREA” appears on the 
display.

The entered point is out of 
the navigable area.

Enter a point within the 
navigable area.

You have tried to save the 
current address into the 
STORED ADDRESS (see 
page 32) while you are out 
of the navigable area.

This is normal. You cannot 
save the current address 
if it is located out of the 
navigable area.
