Gamma Brightness
Compensation
When the subject is backlit, the image will be
darkened if it is recorded normally. The gamma
brightness compensation function improves the
picture by increasing the brightness of the
subject while leaving the brighter portions of
the image unaffected.

Press the MENU button until 
appears (Camera mode).

Press the GAMA EFF. button (

) once.
• “GAMMA” appears, indicating that the
Gamma Brightness Compensation is
now working.
To obtain a brighter picture
Press the GAMA EFF. button (
A) again.
• The 
 indicator appears.
Note:
• When the 
 indicator is displayed, the
background will become slightly brighter.
