During a call you may want to talk to someone else, without 
the caller hearing. You can do this by switching off the 
microphone using the 
 key.
You can switch the microphone off by:
Pressing 
 until you are ready to talk to the caller 
again.
Short beeps indicate that the microphone is off.
Or
Pressing  
shortly.
Short beeps indicate that the microphone is off. 
To switch the microphone on, press 
 again.
If you hear the alarm signal, short beeping sounds, 
during a call you must press 
 twice to switch the 
microphone off. Pressing this key once switches off 
the alarm; pressing it again switches off the 
microphone.
Blocking the keys
If you carry the cordless phone in your pocket you might 
accidentally press the keys and make a call. To prevent this 
you can block the keys of the cordless phone. The keys no 
longer work, but you can still receive calls.
To block the keys press  , then press the 
 key. The 
lock icon is displayed.
To switch the keys back on press the   key and the 
 key again.
If you have blocked the keys and you receive a call 
you can still answer the call in the normal way, 
without first unblocking the keys.
