3.10 RS-232 INTERFACE

scales include a bi-directional RS-232 interface. When connected
to a printer or computer, the scale outputs the weighing results using the RS-
232 interface. The scale can be controlled sending commands from a PC.

Input commands format
The scale can be controlled with the following commands. The commands
must be sent in upper case letters, i.e. “T” not “t”.

Tares the scale to display the net weight. This is the same
as pressing [Tare] key.

3.10.2 RS-232 Setup
The RS-232 interface uses parameters set by the user for language, currency
symbol, baud rate, date format and label format of the printout. Press and
hold the [Print] key for 4 seconds to access the parameters. Press [Print] to
scroll through the options and [Tare] to confirm the change and then advance
to the next parameter. When a parameter is entered by pressing [Tare], the
