Recording from the TV or from
another additional appliance

Switch your TV set on. If necessary set the TV to the
correct audio/video channel for the DVD recorder system.
Such channels may be called AUX or AUXILIARY IN,
AUDIO/VIDEO or A/V IN, EXT1, EXT2 or EXTERNAL IN,
etc.These channels are often near channel 00.

Load a disc on which you want to record in the tray.
READING is displayed and the DVD recorder system
checks the inserted disc. Depending on the disc, the
following will be displayed:
If a DVD+RW is inserted on which recordings have
been made:
The index picture screen appears.
If a completely empty recordable disc is inserted:
EMPTY DISC is displayed.

If you want to record from the TV
Press DVD/MON on the remote control as often as
necessary to see the currently selected TV channel.
The currently selected TV channel is displayed.
Press CH+ or CH- on the remote control as often as
necessary to select the desired TV channel (programme
number) from which you wish to record.
Note: If a TV channel transmits a channel name, it will be
displayed.
If you want to record from another additional
appliance, press on the remote control either:
SAT: to record from a connected satellite receiver.
CAM1/2: to record from a connected video camera. Press
the button repeatedly to toggle between camera 1
(analogue input) and camera 2 (digital i-link input).
VCR/GAME: to record from a connected video cassette
recorder or a game console. Press the button repeatedly to
toggle between video cassette recorder and game console.

Press RECORD on the DVD recorder system or REC/OTR
on the remote control to start recording.
Recording starts and the record indicator on the set
lights up.
Note: Recordings on a DVD+RW disc are started from the current
position. From there on, earlier recordings may be overwritten
without notice, unless the disc is write protected.To prevent this
you can do a safe record, which means starting the recording at
the end of all existing recordings (see chapter “Safe record”).

The recording quality depends on the recording mode you
have selected. During a recording from a satellite receiver, a
video cassette recorder or a game console (if connected to
EXT2 AUX I/O), you can choose viewing the original video
quality or the recorded video quality. Press SAT or
VCR/GAME to see the original video quality or press
DVD/MON to see the recorded video quality.

Press STOP 
9 to stop recording.
Recording is stopped,
MENU UPDT is displayed and the
index picture screen will be updated.
Note: If the recording could not be completed correctly due to
a disc error,
DISC ERR is displayed.

To interrupt recording press PLAY/PAUSEÉÅ.

To resume recording press PLAY/PAUSEÉÅ again.
