Using Modes
Before Shooting
The MODE button allows you to switch among
Playback, Photo, Video, and Audio modes.
Press the MODE  button, and the
LCD screen shows the mode screen
with the four mode options.
Select the desired mode by using
the 4-way arrow button. When
selected, the selected mode is
activated on the LCD screen, and
the mode indicator lights up as well
at the same time.
 Video Mode
Press   to enter Video mode; this allows you to record
movie clips of unlimited length (maximum length
dependent on the size of available memory).
 Photo Mode
Press   to enter Photo mode; this allows you to
capture still images in JPEG format with automatic
exposure, or provides you with a full selection of
manual controls over all DV camera settings.
•  Audio Mode
Press   to enter Audio mode; this allows you to
record audio clips of unlimited length (maximum
length dependent on the size of available memory).
 Playback Mode
Press   to enter Playback mode; this allows you to
playback the stored video/audio clips or still images.
You can browse and delete these stored recordings,
or imprint the images with a DPOF mark for printing.
