Cautions When Using the AV Optical Receiver
Be sure not to install the AV optical receiver in a place exposed to direct
sunlight or near a heater where the temperature becomes very high, or the
receiver could malfunction.
Do not install the receiver in an unstable place, in a place subject to
vibrations or on a device such as a TV where it becomes warm.
Use the receiver at normal temperatures (5°C ~ 35°C).
Take care not to drop the receiver or apply a shock to it.
Do not leave the optical receiver hanging in the air.
If the optical receiver cannot be placed horizontally on the TV, etc., use the
Velcro tapes provided to fix it vertically so that it does not fall down. Before
pasting on the Velcro tapes, remove dirt from the receiver and place on which
the receiver is to be fixed. When using the Velcro tapes to fix the receiver, fit
one side of the receiver onto something.
Note: When the Velcro tape once pasted is removed, a trace of the tape may
remain or the surface on which the tape was pasted may peel off.
Note: Similar Velcro tapes (i.e. both hooks or both loops) do not stick to each
other. Combine different types of Velcro tape.
Cautions when using the AC power adapter
To reduce risk of injury or damage to the AV optical receiver, use only the
120V AC power supply.
If you are not going to use the AV optical receiver for a long time, unplug
the AC power adapter from the AC outlet.
If any abnormality or trouble occurs:
If you find any abnormality or trouble, immediately unplug the AC
adapter from the AC outlet and consult the video store from whom you
purchased the camcorder.
When you go for servicing, take both the AV optical receiver and
camcorder.
WARNING: Be sure to use the specified AC power adapter with the AV
optical receiver. Using other power units could damage the receiver. Be sure
not to use the AC power adapter to supply power to an electrical device other
than the AV optical receiver, or it could damage the device.
Connecting to a Television with Audio In and Video In Jacks
1. If your television has the AUDIO/VIDEO IN jacks, connect the provided
audio/video cable to the AUDIO IN and VIDEO IN jacks of your television.
Connect either the right or left audio plug into your television if it has only
one AUDIO IN jack.
2. Connect the free ends of the audio/video cable to the AUDIO OUT and
VIDEO OUT jacks of the AV optical receiver.
